Watching this video is a crime

by J4vv4D with 3 comments

This video was inspired by the blog post by @ErrataRob entitled “You are committing a crime right now”  which was based upon the legal woes of Andrew Auernheimer aka Weev who recently got convicted for accessing stuff that AT&T just put out there on the internet.

Actually, sorry to say, but you’re actually wrong in this case. By virtue of using YouTube, you are, in fact, “publishing” the video, and doing so subject to YouTube’s Terms (http://www.youtube.com/t/terms ). In particular, see Section 6 of the terms, and sub-section (c) in particular. Cheers!

Haha yes, well spotted Ben – one of the challenges when you adapt a written piece of work to the movies. :)

I cannot agree on this point of view. As grey hacker I know I have no authorization to enter, however I might just check if the door is open. Mr. Auernheimer went way too far, exposing sensitive data of users and putting a company in risk. I’m sorry but there is no excuse and innocence on that
